By , Los Angeles

Primary Wave Music has signed singer/songwriter Deborah Cox to a management deal. Best known for the R&B/pop hit “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here,” Cox is also recording a new solo album slated for release in winter 2014/2015. The singer, whose longtime business partner Lascelles Stephens will also be working in conjunction with Primary Wave’s Hosh Gureli, joins a management roster that includes Cee Lo Green, Eric Benét and Atlantic newcomer Trevor Jackson.

BMG has signed a publishing and artist services deal with the 3 Winans Brothers, a new gospel group comprised of BeBe, Marvin and Carvin Winans. The trio is collaborating with R&B/gospel/pop producers Rodney Jerkins and Daniel Weatherspoon on forthcoming album “Foreign Land” due this spring through BMG. The set’s first single is “If God Be For Us.”

BMI will present its ninth annual Legends of ATL Award on April 16, recognizing a key community leader’s contributions to the Atlanta music scene. The award will be handed out during the Super Producers Beat Summit at Atlanta venue Terminal West. Presented by BMI and production team Flight School, the summit will feature producers Mannie Fresh (Lil Wayne, The Notorious B.I.G.), Craig “KLC” Lawson (former member of No Limit Records’ in-house production team Beats by the Pound) and DJ Toomp (Jay Z, Kanye West).
